"Beauty and the Beast (1991)" is a heartwarming Disney classic about Belle (Paige O’Hara), a book-loving young woman who trades her freedom to save her father, Maurice (Rex Everhart), from the clutches of a fearsome Beast (Robby Benson). As she stays in the Beast's enchanted castle, she discovers there’s more to him than his intimidating exterior, and they begin to form an unlikely bond. The Beast, cursed for his arrogance, must learn to love and be loved in return to break the spell that has also transformed his servants, like Lumière (Jerry Orbach) and Mrs. Potts (Angela Lansbury), into household objects. Disney's 1991 adaptation of "Beauty and the Beast" is one of the most beautiful films ever made. It includes everything you'd expect from a Disney princess movie: great characters, a concise yet touching story, memorable songs, emotional scenes, humorous moments, and much more. You name it! But most importantly, a hot princess.
Belle is definitely one of the most beautiful princesses in all of Disney's films. She's smart, brave, and kindhearted. I think her love of reading has something to do that. In other words, it offers a sense of hope and open-mindedness in her character. She was able to see who "The Beast" really was and see that he's a complex and misunderstood character. Belle's actions teaches people to not judge or love anyone by looks, but also what's inside. Belle kinda reminds me of Julie Andrews as Maria Von Trapp from The Sound of Music. I think that something to do with their similar characters.
The film's stunning animation brings the enchanted castle and its colorful inhabitants to life, creating a visually captivating experience. Belle, the intelligent and adventurous protagonist, promotes themes of kindness and understanding, challenging societal norms while embracing her individuality.
